SUMMER RAIN

Soothing warm weather
Utterly refreshing; pleasant
Many rainy days
Mindful farmers pray
Earnestly giving thanks
Relief for crops

Rain showers evoke
An unexpressed glee
Impulsively I dance
Natives going wild

Makes me think of a child in the rain. I can almost smell it

This is good..

BTW I tried my hand at Acrostics last nite..and honestly I guess I need to learn a lot..

By the time I reach the last alphabet I lose the track..

Here is my incomplete attempt..I know I suck at it..(Need some lessons)

W- Winter was warm, while she grew cold
I- I had been silent for a long while
N- Not too many words had she told
T- Tis is life I know
E- Everything comes to an end
R- Ripping your heart apart

Good attempt on the prompt.

"Impulsively I dance" Love that line. It shows how the rain not only awoke the world and the crops, but you as well. Wonderful.

Ripping your heart apart though
Struggling to keep the warmth

Maybe this would work.

Now you can post it as your new blog in your space.

Not bad, in fact it's well written and seems not neophyte's work at all.

We at AO follows a standard like 2 or 3 words per line.

But we can write acros in any way we like Dev, and yours came out so well.

Keep up!

HI Eva;

Thanks so much! glad you like it!

Singing in the rain, have you tried? at the top of your voice till your lungs would almost burst out?

I have done that and i feel so happy doing it!

Amity, you've captured a feel of peace in this acrostic, touching on the reflective effect which rain brings. I love rain, wish it would drizzle five days a week :) Sometimes sun is good. I like this the best:

Rain showers evoke
An unexpressed glee
Impulsively I dance
Natives going wild

Nice imagery.
